Fairtrade
We are firm believers in the principles of FAIRTRADE and wholly support the stance of Matlock as a FAIRTRADE town.
Where possible we ensure that the produce we serve is of a FAIRTRADE origin. This includes coffee, tea, chocolate and sugar. This not only applies to the drinks served in the Café but also extends to the ingredients used in our home produced cakes and muffins.
Selecting FAIRTRADE produce guarantees a better deal for Third World producers.

Local produce
In addition to supporting Third World producers in this way, we are also committed to supporting the local community. Again, where possible, we endeavour to source our produce from local companies and farmers. All our milk, eggs, sausage, bacon and bread is now sourced from within the Peak District.
Not only does this support local trade and businesses but also guarantees you a tastier, wholesome meal!
